By day, Emma Chase is a devoted wife and mother who lives in a small, rural town in Tangled. Tangled (Series). Book 1. Emma Chase Author Sebastian York. I could practically smell view spoiler [that old baby plot device when I first read about YOU being tired hide spoiler ] blah blah blah.
I didn't like your POV because you are not half as funny as Drew who, lucky me, made me laugh my ass off once again. Drew: I think I should be in charge for the next book. Kate honey, don't give me that look, please. It's not my fault that my POV is funnier, cruder and more engaging. You need to step up your game, guys! I think the plot was effin' ridiculous, unrealistic and that view spoiler [baby hide spoiler ] plot device is so old it's not even funny anymore.
Jumping to conclusions, misunderstanding over misunderstanding and the whole situation is totally FUBAR. I didn't like Kate's POV which, by the way, kinda reminded me of Drew but wasn't as stellar as Drew's, not by a long shot.
And what the heck was up with Billy? If I remember correctly I didn't like that asshat in Tangled at all and now I kinda fell for kind Billy boy. Did he have a personality change? Also, I think that Kate was as much to blame for that epic clusterfuck as Drew. It's just pathetic and I doubt that real people would act so stupidly. And last but not least, I was so effin' annoyed when Drew and Kate view spoiler [were back together and had their first talk in the park and she did hold off to spell out that magic P-word.
Did she do it to prolong the misery? Jesus Christ on a crutch. It goes without saying that the epilogue was the BEST part of the entire book. I want Drew's POV back. Drew forever. Go practice!

Yes No Thanks for your feedback! Report as inappropriate. I'm going to say that when I started reading it, I was expecting it to be like Tangled, which is not the case. I'm glad to say that I got my wish and got to find out more about Kate.
Chase, it takes a more serious look into Kate and Drew's relationship. In every fairy tale, the guy gets the girl and they sail off into the sunset and live happily ever after, right? Well, that's definitely not the case here. They work hard, play hard, go on romantic trips and Drew introduces Kate to lots of new experiences. At work, they are the dream team.
They are living the life and all is well in their world, at least in the beginning. One that could have been resolved with minimum fuss by asking the right questions. I'll do my best to keep this free of spoilers for those who have not yet read this book. Drew is still not completely sure of Kate's feelings for him and still requires the occasional reassurance that he is it for Kate. That uncertainty leads him to overreact when faced with the possibility that things may not be as they should be.

Being Drew and not willing to admit to being vulnerable, he chooses attack as the best form of defense and does the one thing he promised never to do: Hurtful things are said, hurtful actions are taken and I just felt my heart break for them.
I could not see how they would come back from this, short of a miracle. The upside to this is that we get to really know Kate. Her background, her fears, her insecurities and also her friendships with her best friend Delores and her ex, Billy.
We watch Kate make hard choices and become the fierce and independent woman she always appeared to be. Once again, Ms. Chase delivers on the humor but she also imbues the characters with a depth that was not evident in Tangled and highlights the fact that clear communication is one of the keys to a successful relationship.
Like this first book this book was funny, and emotional.
Great unique characters, original plot, fantastic read … Show more Show less. Awesome awesome read! I must admit I was kinda pissed off at the beginning! But it was worth it in the end! I just live this series so far , can't wait to see where is goes!!!
Love this series!! The continuing story of Drew and Kate but from Kate's side these two are amazing together. Drew always jumps to conclusions instead of asking he asssumes, then he acts not bothering with the consequences. Kate discovers that she is pregnant she is shocked but happy but shecis unsure of how Drew will react.
She makes an appointment to see her friend Roberta aka Bob and doesn't tell Drew instead she lies that she is going out with Dee, he sees the appointment marked in her diary as Bob and decides to follow her what he sees is not the full picture but Drew doesn't ask questiong he seeks revenge in the form of hurting Kate. She comes home to suprise him with the news only to discover he has a stripper entertaining him, he says some rotten yhings to her and some if his comments lead Kate to believe that he found out about the baby she misunderstands what Drew is saying and they part ways but they are both slowly dying indside without the other.
She leaves him and he is devastated he didn't think she ever would but they need to get all their stuff sorted before they can recoonnect. She turns to me with a raised brow, and her eyes appraise me from head to toe. I smile. I see my reputation precedes me. Yes, I am. She blushes.
Actually turns frigging pink in the cheeks and looks away. Who blushes anymore? So, what do you say we find someplace more comfortable. So we can get to know each other better?

What are we celebrating? I just got my MBA and start a new job on Monday. What a coincidence. Evans, Reinhart and Fisher? Did you see the widening of her eyes? That should have told me something. Smaller than what I usually go for, no more than a handful. My point is, remember that look of surprise—that will make sense later on. Now, back to the conversation. We have so much in common, I say.
I think we owe it to ourselves to see where this could go tonight. She laughs. Now I should explain one thing here. No question. For me, this is working for it. I hold out my hand. And you are? She holds up her hand. Undeterred, I take her hand and kiss her knuckle, grazing it ever so slightly with my tongue. I look at how they say it. You can learn a lot about someone if you just take the time to watch the way they move, the shift of their eyes, the rise and fall of their voice.
Doe Eyes may be telling me no. Those are not the actions of a woman who is not interested—those are the actions of a woman who does not want to be interested. And I can definitely work with that. I have friends who had to put themselves through business school, and the loans can be crushing. So I go for a different tactic—honesty. Even better.
She laughs again, and our drinks arrive. She picks hers up. Thank you for the drink. I should get back to my friends now. I give her a wicked smile. But despite of its more serious tone, there are still plenty of laugh out loud moments in this book courtesy of the man himself, Drew and the rest of the gang.
Sweet Hope. Kristen Callihan. I liked that we got to know more of her history and the town where she grew up. Well, if you thought Drew's voice was hilarious, and can't wait to read more from him about his relationship with Kate? They live the life most couples only dream of.
I got to say that yes, my expectations were really high because of the greatness of the first, but still, I was expecting more. I'm not going to spoil it and I'll also say I would still encourage you to read it because you may love it. I will read anything she writes!
